What on earth would compel you to end your article with such an inappropriate "poem"? Domestic violence and peeping tom is NOT "cool", not artistic, not wanted by the majority of readers.
I think Veridea has already re-energized it's plan to sell at the old cliffs property. Went past the section near Hawley St on Friday 7/14 and there was large Checker tour bus parked. Also, a canopy set up with 40 - 60 people seated under it. And someone in front of them with large display boards on either side of them. Looked like the sales pitch was in full production.
I would love for Beefs to be successful, but I can't imagine it working in that location. The Aloha Grill really tried, and had a great product, but it wasn't to be. The Masonic building--unless you've got windows on Washington--is hard enough, but the basement is impossible.
I don't know about the future of "Beefs". First, he opens roadside in Baraga--in October(!), then he has "lease problems" in Houghton. and now, in the basement of the Masonic Building?

Twice in the last two weeks, Marquette made the top five of smaller towns for retirement and raising kids. Marv DeMilio
