I think the tip should be determined by the person/people being served. If the public doesn't like this "transparancy fee," then don't go. I won't go back to Iron Bay b/c I'm already a good tipper and often tip far more than 20% for good service. I don't go to Panara Breads any more b/c I have to stand in line and tip the person who takes my order, then I have to pick up my order and then bus my table. What exactly am I tipping for? Tried it once and once was enuf.

As to the Kohan boys: if they are choose not to pay taxes, arrest them, and put them out of business. We all have to pay taxes and these people are no different.

I had an occasion to use the new Marquette Medical Urgent Care last week as it had been recommended to me. It’s a great place; new, clean, efficient from check in to check out, had a great nurse and saw the doctor quickly. What more can I say? They met all our needs! So glad they opened.

I totally agree. Servers deserve a better wage and I believe the best way to get there is to raise prices, after all prices are going up at restaurants and we’ve all gotten used to it. I’m afraid many people when reading this transparency (??) fee (who came up with that name anyway) will choose to not tip at all, believing that should take care of paying the servers more. That “more” is still not a living wage in Marquette.

Like Kevin said, that's for tipped positions. Generally if you earn tips, you only get a few $ per hour.

That's before tips. Most waitstaff make less than minimum wage before tips.
